Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is born in Romania and is a Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the protagonist of Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of sixteen, she had landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Following her highly praised role in the show Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. The film was nominated for an Oscar and was praised by critics. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominees featuring models. Alexandra worked on several notable worldwide and national productions over time. These projects include the British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time and as French Historical Miniseries Napoleon.
